Error Code 211 - Issue with the Lock Motor (Actuator)

Overview

Error code 211 indicates an issue with the lock motor (actuator) of the charging station. This can be caused by various factors, such as a poor connection or a defective motor. 

 

Steps to resolve the issue

Please note that the following steps may only be carried out by a certified electricians who complies with all safety and security guidelines.

 

Check the connections to the lock motor (actuator)

  • Ensure all cables and connections are properly connected and undamaged.

 

Check if the socket is clear of obstructions

  • Ensure nothing is obstructing the connection of the cables to the socket (environmental ingress).

 

Check if the lock motor (actuator) is properly fitted on the socket

Ensure the lock motor (actuator) is properly lined out with the opening on the socket and the screws are tightened correctly. You should not be able to move the lock motor by hand at all.

 

Check if the lock motor (actuator) can still move

  • Test if the lock motor (actuator) can physically move. This can be done by manually turning or moving the motor. And, do not forget to check if one of the cables is preventing the lock motor to move.

 

 

Replacing the lock motor (Actuator)

If the above steps have not resolved the issue, the lock motor (actuator) will need to be replaced.

To replace the lock motor (actuator), the charge point operator must submit a service request ticket in our support portal. Please contact your charge point operator for this. They are responsible for managing the charging station. If you are the operator yourself, you can directly submit a service request in our support portal.
