Steps to use the Alfen EV Charging Station:
1. Identify the Charger:
This number is crucial for identifying the charger in the system. With this information, we can determine where the management of the charger lies. The ACE number can be found at the bottom of the charger. Here is a knowledge article that explains where it is located and how to find it: How to locate the ACE number
2. Check Management Details:
If you are an end user, please note that as a manufacturer of EV charging stations, we do not sell directly to individuals; purchases must be made through a reseller. End users often need assistance with accessing the charging station or reporting issues, but these tasks must be handled by the entity managing the station, which could be the reseller or a charge point operator. To find out who manages your charging station, please submit a ticket through our support portal, and we will provide you with the necessary contact information. Here's a knowledge article that explains how to create a support ticket for this in our support portal: Who is my charge point operator?
Please note that passwords for accessing the charging station are normally available through your charge point operator. Alfen does not save or manage passwords, so we won't be able to supply these.
3. Access with RFID Card or Charging Pass:
The charger can typically be accessed using an RFID card or a charging pass. If you have one, try plugging in your car to start charging. If you do not have an RFID card or charging pass, contact the charger manager to obtain one.
4. Configuration Check:
The configuration of the charger might have changed since its installation. Verify the current configuration with the charge point operator to ensure compatibility.
5. Troubleshooting:
If the charger does not work with your RFID card or charging pass, contact the charger manager for further assistance and to check if an authorized card is needed.
Conclusion:
Using an existing Alfen EV charging station can be straightforward with the right information.
Ensure you have the necessary access credentials and contact the charge point operator for any issues.
