When charging stations are set up as a Smart Charging Network (SCN) and connected to each other via a switch, charging stations communicate with each other to distribute the available power as optimal as possible.
Together, the charging stations then behave as one large (virtual) 'charging network' in order to provide an optimal charging current.
This takes into account the maximum possible load of the connection to which the charging stations are connected.
It is also possible to determine the maximum load dynamically based on the live consumption in the installation.
In this case, an external energy meter is used in the installation.
1 (and only 1!) charger in the SCN has to be configured for using Active Loadbalancing (ALB).
This charger therefor needs to have an the Active Loadbalancing license unlocked as well.
