Why has Alfen introduced tamper detection?

Tamper detection is introduced to protect the internals of the charging station by monitoring whether the housing is properly closed or not.

Tamper detection on AHP

Tamper detection is a functionality on our Eve Single Plus, Eve Double Plus and Twin 5 Plus to send a status notification to the CPMS when any part of the casing is opened.
This is required functionality in the ENCS and IEC62443-4-2:2019.

If a charger is running FW2.5 or later, equipped with tamper hardware, and when tamper mode is set to Strict, tampering with the charger (opening the enclosure) will now result in a security log and a security event notification being sent to the back office when using OCPP 1.6 Security Whitepaper (i.e. SecurityProfile > 0). Availability of tamper detection can be checked from the back office using the TamperDetectionAvailable configuration key.
The tamper mode can be set to Strict from the back office using the TamperDetectionMode configuration key.
