What can I do with the Eve Connect app?
- View the status of an ongoing charging session.
- Set the maximum power at which the charging station can charge.
- Activating and deactivating the Solar Charging functionality, enabling partial or full charging using solar energy.
- Set to charge fully on solar energy (Green) or partially on solar energy (Comfort).
- If Solar Charging is activated and the option to charge partially on solar energy (Comfort) is selected, it can be configured with the minimum power at which the charging station will charge when there is no solar energy generation. This is referred to as the Comfort level.
- If the current charging session is being charged with solar energy, there is an option to 'boost', where the charging station will proceed to charge the remainder of the session at full power.
- View a summary of past charging sessions.
- Export a summary of past charging sessions for billing purposes.
The app doesn't find my charging station.
Check the following:
The charging station is turned off.
The charging station is connected to the local network; please check the cable or the signal strength of the Wi-Fi network.
Ensure that the charging station and your mobile phone are on the same network.
I forgot the password of my charging station, how do I retrieve this?
At the delivery of your charging station, you received a flyer with the Default password and Password Recovery Code (PRC). This should have been handed over to you by the installer.
The passwords provided on the flyer are necessary for logging in or resetting a forgotten Customer password to the Default password (standard password). You can use the flyer to restore the Customer password to the Default password, as long as the original controller board is installed in the charging station.
What if you don’t have the flyer (anymore)?
Please contact your Charge Point Operator (CPO). They can assist you in retrieving the Default password.
What if the original controller board of the charging station has been replaced and you lost/forgot the Customer password
(when you change the default password to a custom password, this becomes the Customer password).
- If you have a Charge Point Operator (CPO) with a Back Office connection, please have 'Secure Service Access (SSA)' enabled.
- If you have a standalone charging station without a Back Office connection, and the service access is disabled, you have locked yourself out. An Alfen technician must replace the controller board to gain access to the charging station. Alfen does not have passwords for your charging station and therefore cannot assist further with restoring the situation, other than replacing the controller board.
I did not receive a flyer with the default password and password recovery code
Please contact the point of sale where you purchased your charging station. These passwords are an integral part of the product delivery. Exceptions to this exist depending on the agreements made with your point of sale.
The app shows multiple charging stations, how do I know which one to choose?
How to check if you are connected to the right charging station:
- S-Line and Pro-Line: the serial number of the charging station can be found at the bottom of the charging station.
- Pro-Line: you can see an ‘identifier’ in the display of the charging station, this can also be found in the app.
When selecting 'Boost' where does the energy come from?
When the mode is changed to 'Boost,' solar energy (if applicable) will no longer be utilized, if 'Solar Charging' was enabled previously. Boosting directly utilizes the full power available from the grid.
What is the function of the Power Slider?
The Power slider is intended to set a static maximum power on your charging station. The charging station will not exceed the power you set here.
Can I set a charging schedule?
At this time this is not possible. In future updates of the app this feature will become available.
