In order to access the configuration of your Alfen charging station with the Eve Connect App, you must download the app on your device. This device can be a smartphone, tablet or laptop. After installing the Eve Connect app, you must establish a connection between your device and the charging station in order to access the configuration of the charging station.
1: Wireless Network
Connect your device wirelessly to the network the charging station is in. Please note that the charging station will need a wired or Wifi (when available) connection to the router.
2: Wired Network
When using the Eve Connect app on a wired laptop or desktop, you can connect directly to the charging station with an ethernet cable. If the charging station is plugged in to a local switch or router, you may plug your device into that switch or router.
Users on a smartphone or tablet will require an adaptor such as a USB-C to ethernet or Lightning to ethernet.
Please also see our quick reference guide on how to easily connect to the charging station using ethernet.
This Quick Reference Guide is designed to assist installers or service engineers in seamlessly setting up a wired connection between the Alfen Apps and one or multiple charging stations. This can be achieved either through a direct link between a laptop, tablet, or phone and a Charging Station, or by connecting the device to a switch with multiple charging stations like a Smart Charging Network. The instructions can also be applied when you are not connected to the internet. To ensure a smooth connection, Alfen recommends using licensed converter cables and confirming that the IP address of the charging station aligns with your device's IP address.
