Alfen charging stations are "simlock-free," meaning they can connect to various backoffice systems. These systems must support OCPP-JSON protocol versions 1.5 (NG platform only), 1.6, or 2.0.1. You can also change backoffice providers in the future. For instance, you can purchase a standalone charging station (not linked to a backoffice) and later configure it to connect to the backoffice system of your choice.
